(Gables Unique Identification During Emergencies) and more.

Embark on a literacy journey to combat the Summer Slide! In an effort to promote financial literacy and independent money management all Scholastic Book Fair sales will be conducted through the use of Gables Bucks. The fair will have novelty items valued at $1 and books valued at $5, $10, $15 and $20. Participants wishing to purchase books in smaller increments may do so and will have their Gables Bucks vouchers punched accordingly based on the item chosen. Gables Bucks vouchers are redeemable at the Gables Family Literacy Festival only and are non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash. My Squad is a social gathering for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and autism.

Participants will eat pizza for dinner, select a movie to watch, and play a game of Boccia.

Coral Gables Residency is not required to attend.

We invite community members with autism and other sensory sensitivities to join the Independence Day festivities from the city’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Clubhouse. Guests will enjoy:

• Sensory friendly outdoor games including bubbles, crafts, sports and light up games.

Guests are welcome to bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages.
